Scope and Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Robert Spellinger LLC ("Spellinger," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and retains personal information when you use spellinger.com and its accounts, members areas, digital publications, subscription services, shop, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It also explains the choices and rights that may be available to you.
The Services are operated from the United States and are initially intended for adult users and customers in the United States. This Policy does not govern a third party's independent website, service, or privacy practices after you leave or interact outside the Services.
Privacy Commitments
OUR PRIVACY COMMITMENT
|
These commitments do not prevent us from using service providers to process payments, verify age eligibility, host the Services, deliver communications, prevent fraud, or fulfill orders. Those providers receive only information reasonably necessary for the service they perform and are expected to process it for that operational purpose rather than for their own advertising.
Personal Information We Collect
Information You Provide
Depending on how you use the Services, you may provide your name, email address, password or authentication credentials, billing and shipping addresses, telephone number, subscription selection, communication preferences, support messages, and other information needed to administer an account, subscription, inquiry, or order. The Services do not provide public comments, product reviews, public profiles, forums, or user-upload features.
Orders and Payments
We collect order details, products purchased, recipient and shipping information, subscription status, transaction dates and amounts, refunds, chargebacks, and related customer-service history. Payment-card information is submitted to a payment processor. Spellinger does not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes; we may receive a payment token, card brand, last four digits, expiration information, billing status, and fraud or authorization results.
Age Assurance and Mature-Content Access
Where age assurance or verification is required, a provider may collect information directly from you, which could include a date of birth, government-issued identification, an image, or other verification evidence. The provider's privacy notice governs information it collects directly. Spellinger intends to receive only a limited result, such as verified-adult status, the date of verification, and a provider reference needed to administer access or document compliance.
Spellinger does not intend to receive or retain copies of identification documents, selfies, biometric templates, or raw verification evidence. We and our providers will not retain identifying information from age verification when applicable law prohibits retention after access is granted. Do not send identity documents by ordinary email unless we specifically provide a secure and legally reviewed method.
Service, Device, and Cookie Data
When you use the Services, our systems and operational providers may receive an IP address, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, pages or features used within spellinger.com, dates and times, login and authentication events, cookie or session identifiers, error and performance data, and security events. We use this information to deliver requested pages and features, maintain sessions and carts, secure accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and understand site performance and use within Spellinger.
Sources of Information
We obtain personal information directly from you, automatically when you use the Services, and from operational providers involved in a transaction or service you request, such as payment, fraud-prevention, fulfillment, delivery, age-assurance, authentication, or customer-support providers. We do not purchase consumer profiles or obtain off-site browsing histories for advertising.
How We Use Personal Information
We use personal information only for reasonably necessary business and legal purposes, including to:
- provide, personalize within Spellinger, maintain, and secure the Services;
- create and administer accounts, subscriptions, entitlements, renewals, and cancellations;
- process payments, prevent fraud, fulfill and track orders, manage returns, and provide support;
- verify adult eligibility and control access to age-restricted content or products;
- send receipts, renewal notices, shipping updates, security alerts, customer-service responses, and other requested or transactional communications;
- send optional newsletters or promotional communications where permitted, subject to your unsubscribe choices;
- measure performance and improve the Services using site-limited, non-advertising information; and
- comply with law, keep required records, enforce agreements, resolve disputes, protect rights and safety, and investigate misuse.
Cookies and Site-Limited Measurement
We use cookies and similar storage necessary to keep you signed in, remember selections, maintain a shopping cart, process checkout, preserve security settings, balance traffic, and provide other requested functionality. Blocking these technologies may prevent parts of the Services from working.
We may use site-limited analytics, either directly or through a provider acting for us, to understand traffic, errors, performance, and use of features within spellinger.com. We do not use advertising pixels or cookies to follow you across unrelated websites, combine Spellinger activity with off-site activity, or build a profile for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we materially change these practices, we will update this Policy and provide any choice or consent required by law.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, complete a transaction you request, comply with law, or protect legitimate rights and safety. For example, a fulfillment provider must receive the delivery address and enough order information to prepare and ship the correct item.
The principal categories of operational recipients are described below.
Recipient category | Information disclosed | Operational purpose |
|---|---|---|
Hosting, account, and security providers | Identifiers, account data, service and device data | Host and secure the Services; authenticate users; diagnose errors and prevent abuse |
Payment processors and fraud-prevention providers | Contact, billing and transaction data; payment information submitted directly to the processor | Authorize payments, renew subscriptions, issue refunds, manage chargebacks, and prevent fraud |
Fulfillment, dropship, print-on-demand, and delivery providers | Recipient name, shipping address, contact details, order contents, and delivery instructions | Produce, package, ship, track, replace, or recall an order |
Age-assurance or age-verification providers | Information submitted directly to the provider and a limited verification result or reference returned to Spellinger | Confirm adult eligibility and comply with age-restriction requirements |
Email and customer-support providers | Name, email address, communication preferences, and message or support history | Send requested, transactional, security, service, and optional marketing communications |
We may also disclose information at your direction or with your consent. We require operational providers to protect information and limit their use where appropriate, but their direct collection from you may also be governed by their own privacy notices.
No Sale, Cross-Site Tracking, or Behavioral Advertising
Spellinger does not sell personal information for money or other value. Spellinger does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use advertising networks to track people across unrelated websites, or rent customer lists. The operational disclosures described in Section 6 are made to provide requested services and are not intended as sales or advertising-related sharing.
Because these practices are not part of the Services, Spellinger does not currently offer a sale or targeted-advertising opt-out link. If our practices change, we will first update this Policy and implement any notice, consent, opt-out mechanism, or browser-based privacy signal response required by applicable law.
Mature Content and Sensitive Purchases
A person's use of mature editorial content or purchase of an adult product may reveal private interests. We do not use that activity to create an advertising profile, infer characteristics for unrelated marketing, or disclose it except as needed to provide access, process and fulfill an order, prevent fraud, provide support, comply with law, or as otherwise described in this Policy.
Order contents may necessarily be visible to payment, fraud-prevention, fulfillment, print-on-demand, dropship, delivery, and support providers involved in completing the transaction. We will seek providers whose access and use are limited to their operational role. Packaging and billing descriptors will be described separately where relevant and should not be assumed to be private unless expressly stated.
Communications and Marketing Choices
We may send transactional or service communications concerning an account, subscription, order, security matter, or policy change. You may not be able to opt out of communications necessary to provide an active service or complete a transaction.
Optional newsletters and promotional messages will include an unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel a subscription, order, or account, and we may retain a limited suppression record to honor your preference. We do not sell or rent email lists.
Retention and Deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, including to maintain an active account or subscription, complete and support orders, maintain security and fraud records, honor communication choices, satisfy accounting, tax, contractual, recordkeeping, and legal obligations, and establish or defend claims. Retention depends on the type and sensitivity of the information, the service involved, legal requirements, and the risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure.
When information is no longer needed, we delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of it as reasonably appropriate. Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from rotating backups, fraud-prevention records, transaction records that law requires us to retain, or records necessary to honor an unsubscribe request. We do not intend to retain raw identity documents or biometric material from age verification.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed for the nature of the information and our operations. These may include restricted access, authentication controls, encryption in transit, provider review, logging, backups, and incident-response procedures. No storage or transmission system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Use a unique password, protect your devices, and notify service@spellinger.com promptly if you believe an account has been compromised. We will provide legally required notices if a qualifying security incident occurs.
Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and whether a privacy law applies to Spellinger, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, a portable copy, or information about categories of collection and disclosure. You may also have rights concerning sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, although Spellinger does not engage in those practices as described above.
To make a privacy request, email service@spellinger.com with the subject "Privacy Request" and identify the right you wish to exercise, your state of residence, and the email address or account involved. Do not send sensitive identification by ordinary email. We may use account, transaction, or other reasonable information to verify your identity and may request additional information through a secure method when necessary. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to proof of authority and identity verification.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. A request may be limited or denied where permitted, including when we cannot verify it, must retain information by law, need it for security, fraud prevention, transactions, claims, or another lawful exception, or the request would adversely affect another person's rights. If applicable law provides an appeal right, our response will explain how to appeal. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
Account Deletion and Subscription Cancellation
You may request account deletion through available account controls or by contacting service@spellinger.com. Deleting an account does not automatically cancel an active subscription unless the process expressly confirms cancellation. Cancel renewal separately as described in the Terms of Service. We may retain limited information after deletion for the purposes described in Section 10.
Adults Only; Information About Minors
The Services are intended only for individuals who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that a minor supplied personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it and restrict access, subject to legal and safety requirements. Contact service@spellinger.com to report a concern.
Third-Party Services, Links, and U.S. Processing
The Services may link to payment, age-assurance, delivery, social, maker, retailer, or other third-party sites and services. After you follow an external link or submit information directly to a third party, that party's privacy notice applies. We are responsible for our own practices but do not control an independent third party's website or service.
Spellinger is based in the United States. Personal information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where our operational providers maintain systems or personnel. Those locations may have privacy laws different from those where you live. We will use protections required by applicable law for covered transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised Policy will state a new effective date and apply prospectively. For material changes, we will provide notice reasonably appropriate to the change, such as email, an account notice, or a conspicuous notice on the Services, and obtain consent if required by law.
